Shared Streets Success!

by Your News Hound on June 21, 2010

Guide Dogs is delighted to report that as a result of all the hard work on our Shared Streets campaign, we have negotiated an agreement with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea over the planned development at Exhibition Road. We are now looking forward to working with them to deliver our shared goal of making Exhibition Road fully inclusive.

Royal Borough has agreed to conduct real world trials to test their proposed design. We (and the other organisations that are represented on the scheme’s Access Group) will be fully consulted on how the trials will be conducted, and also on the evaluation of the results.

This fantastic result would not have been possible without the continued dedication of all involved. This is a success we can all continue to be involved in and take forward by lobbying at your local authority.

For further details on the campaign please follow the link to our Shared Streets micro site www.guidedogs.org.uk/sharedstreets

Congratulations and well done!

Have your say!

Have your say!

Project Guide Dogs gives you an unrivaled opportunity to help create and implement an online campaign for Guide Dogs – ranked the UK’s 11th best charity brand 2009.

What’s it all about?
Guide Dogs is a well-known and much-loved national charity, but many young people are not familiar with the extent of its campaigning work. Your challenge is to come up with ideas for an online marketing campaign targeting 18-to-25-year-olds, to encourage at least 10,000 of them to say they would support current or future Guide Dogs’ campaigns.

How?

Read the full brief, fill out the online form, get creative and submit your entry. Simpls!
